Hey y'all! I wore this outfit while exploring Southport for my birthday! I think I own chino shorts in just about every color. Spring cleaning needs to happen soon in my closet. 

I was so sad to leave the beach because it was absolutely beautiful the whole time we were down there! I love the ocean (even though once I get in the water, I'm terrified of sharks), and the water was so nice this time around! I'm very thankful for all the beauty we saw and who I got to see it with this past week!

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had an awesome Memorial Day weekend! I wore this little outfit out on the beach the other night! It's super fun and summery, so I was pretty excited about it! I'm also obsessed with this denim shirt, but sadly, it's my mom's from when she was about my age, so it's not available anymore! But it's great quality, so I recommend picking this up if it ever gets back around to L.L.Bean again!

Hey y'all! I hope everybody's summer is off to a great start!! Today, Andrew treated me to tea and goodies for our date! It was so much fun, I felt like a princess. It's the perfect date if you have an hour or so to kill in the afternoon and feel like getting a little dressed up. We're heading to the beach soon, so I think my excitement for that trip inspired my outfit.

Striped Tote, Floral Shorts

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had a happy momma's day and a wonderful weekend! I wore this outfit for a strawberry picking date, which was such a blast, go pick some berries before it's too late!! I honestly didn't carry this bag, I just really wanted to share the deal that's going on at Bath and Body Works right now! This adorable bag (originally $102) was $20 with a $40 purchase, so my momma and I picked it up while shopping for the grandmas. It came with lots of yummy smelling things inside of it too, so that was just an extra bonus.

I hope y'all get off to a great week! I know it's getting close to graduation time and some of y'all may be going off to college in the fall, so I pray that y'all will trust God in everything and know that it isn't going to be great all the time, but you decide if you make it great. I hated my first semester and don't wish that for anyone else. I didn't want to trust God, I wanted to figure it out for myself, and it wasn't pretty. Second semester, I gave it up to God (though He already had me anyways), and it was so much better. I took a trip to the lake with my mom the other day, and it ended up being a perfect spot for a little photo shoot! As you can see, I have a thing for polka dots. I love simple patterns, and this dress is stinkin' adorable and easy to wear from day to day. And I really love this bracelet!! (Thank you Andrew, you're the best!)

Sweet Summertime

Hi friends! EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER. It's summertime!! I'm wearing shorts and not freezing! Yay! Patterned pants are my weakness at the moment, and these floral shorts hit the spot today! Also, I picked up these sandals around Easter, and they are adorable and so comfy! This top from Old Navy is amongst the bazillion beautiful spring/summer pieces they have right now. And they're having a huge sale right now!! 

 I'm so excited to be spending my summer at home with all the wonderful people here. I also want to take advantage of this less stressful period of time to get in a routine quiet time every day. Summer mornings are so wonderful, so I think I'll try to start off each morning with some time in God's word because I haven't been very consistent during the school year, and I hope y'all get a chance to do so too! 

I really want to encourage y'all to enjoy every day. Life throws some curve balls at you every now and again, but you have to take them with a smile. God has everything in control, and He always will. We should approach every day as a blessing and approach every trial with joy, as easy as it may be to be bitter.
