Jack Frost

This ombre sweater might be my new favorite, and it is so comfy!

I thought this would turn out cute, but at least it might give you a laugh.

I must apologize for how awkward I look in these. I had ten minutes to take pictures, and I really wanted to post today! Also, I'm still figuring out my camera, so these pictures will be looking more professional sooner or later. Anyways, I hope all y'all down South have enjoyed this Snowpocalypse! I haven't seen this much snow in years, and boy it is beautiful! This is such a comfy outfit for a typical snow day. I have to brag on my Hunter boots because they have certainly come in handy this year. I didn't even own a pair of rain boots before college, and Gran got me these for graduation. I'd say they're an essential for me nowadays. And they're the perfect color for a Tarheel, am I right?

On to spring break planning and warm weather adventures! I look forward to sharing them with y'all! Thanks for stopping by!

Currently Coveting

Now that we've gotten our one good snow, I'm officially ready for some warmer weather here in NC! Strolling around outside in some of these pieces would be much preferred to the 5 degree walk to class I had last week. Springing forward to future outfit inspiration, I'm loving these breezy tops and straw hat from J. Crew and Lilly, this darling dress from Red Dress Boutique, and accessories from Etsy, Just Fab, Kendra Scott, and Target. Yay for one day closer to warm weather and spring break!

I hope y'all enjoyed your snow days and dream of spring and the beauty of God's creation blooming to life again! Shoutout to God for making His Creation awesome in every season everywhere.

Pop of Opal

I almost look like a cappuccino.

This stone doesn't even look real! It's like a pretty sparkling fire on my finger.

My wonderfully sassy grandmother (Gran) let's me explore her jewelry collection every now and then. This weekend, she instructed me to open a box full of goodies and allowed me to take some pieces off her hands. My Pa traveled the world while he and Gran were married and spoiled her with beautiful jewelry from every country he visited. This opal ring came from Australia, where opal mines are abundant. The dainty opal necklace I am wearing is also from Australia.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day Weekend! Andrew took me on a wonderful date and my best friend Christine and I had a Galentine's dinner the next night! Sweet and simple. Also, maybe you're getting to read this from your comfy home (or dorm) because you have a snow day today like me!! Thanks for stopping by!

The Greatest of These is Love

Pictured above is the struggle to take pictures while standing on small tables when adults walk by.

I'm in LOVE with these wire stone bangles. Hoping to get some from H. M. Willow soon because the raw cut stones are BEAUTIFUL!

Hey y'all! This little impromptu photo shoot location was not the most picturesque, but it was fun nonetheless! This week has been full of studying, wind, and a craving for warm weather. I am looking forward to spring and fresh flowers and all things lovely and bright. I hope you've all had a wonderful week and enjoy your Valentine's Day weekend!

On a serious note, UNC is suffering from the tragedies of the deaths of Dean Smith, Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha. This campus certainly needs prayer, as do the families and loved ones of those precious people who passed. Every life matters, and I hope that reigns true in our hearts and lives as we go throughout our days. Love the people around you! Give someone a smile or a hug or a simple "how are you?" and brighten their day.

Philippians 1:9 "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure an blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ -- to the glory and praise of God."

Formalities

This past weekend, the campus ministry I'm involved in had its annual semi formal! These are my lovely Bible Study gals that I am so thankful for. We're all in Cru, short for Campus Crusade for Christ. I love this organization and am very excited to see how it continues to influence our lives!

I decided to go for the little black dress look because I wasn't entirely sure of how formal this semi formal was going to be! It was perfect for the occasion-comfortable, danceable, sleek, and a little bit sassy with the halter neck. I wish I had gotten a better picture of the dress with the shoes because the combo was fab.
Oh and meet the beau! Ain't he handsome?

I wanna talk about me, wanna talk about I

Imagine hearing "Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass, and I'm home bound."

That's me! I'm Maddy, a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who loves Jesus, people, fashion, and sweets. I decided to start a fashion blog in order to share my love of style and life experiences with whomever wants to know about them.

Fun Facts about me:
I love math. Numbers are my favorite.
I'm obsessed with all things coconut: macaroons, cakes, pies, pizzas, you name it.
I'm a sucker for good football movies.
I dream about being friends with Kate Middleton often.
I grew up on a Christmas tree farm, so my life is basically a Hallmark Holiday movie.

Thank y'all for visiting! Comments and suggestions are welcome :)
Here's another picture, for kicks and giggles.
