Suede Parade

shirt // skirt // scarf (similar) // clutch // watch // ring (similar)

Y'ALL. How adorable is this laser cut suede skirt? Not to mention that it's the softest fabric I've ever worn. Resisting to wear all of my fall clothing is a struggle, but avoiding a heat stroke is a bigger priority. In the meantime, I can pretend it's already fall with this outfit (and by looking up pumpkin flavored everything on Pinterest)! I was too too excited to see that two of my favorite bloggers recently styled a very similar version of this skirt as well (Kate at alonestarstateofsouthern.com and Caitlin at southerncurlsandpearls.com).

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I had my first day of being a tutor yesterday, and it was so much fun! I enjoyed working with students who truly wanted to learn and cared about their studies. Getting the opportunity to help people understand the subject I love is such a blessing!

Falling into Place

flannel // shorts (similar) // booties (similar) // purse (similar) // belt // watch

Hey y'all! I'm backkkk!! I apologize for the lack of posts over the past month. I've been settling back into the swing of things back at school, and sophomore year is off to a great start! The first couple weeks were full of nervousness and anxiousness, but those feelings have winded down and turned into excitement! Now I can't wait to see what God has in store for me this year. I hope everyone's school year has been going well!!

My favorite time of year is just around the corner, and the cooler temperatures have me itching for fall (and fall clothes of course)!!! This outfit is great for this transitional period of summer to fall. I just picked up this lightweight flannel from Target, and it is oh-so comfortable! It'll definitely be a staple of mine this fall and winter. These sweet little fringe booties add a western flair that I've really been into recently. I'm looking forward to pairing this with jeans and a vest for chillier weather! Yay fall yay football yay PSLs!

I know, I'm such a girl. Thanks for stopping by, y'all!

Casual Friday

...I was a little excited...

top // jeans // sandals // purse (similar) // watch // elephant bangle

It's the weekend!! Yippee! I wore this outfit yesterday for some errands and crafting for my dorm room. This shirt is one of the softest things I own. And these jeans feel like leggings, so I was basically wearing pajamas. This is a perfect outfit to look cute and comfy for class on cooler days.

So, I have a thing for animals. I'm usually the one to throw cheetos at the seagulls on the beach and create a flock following for the rest of the day (sorry Andrew :) ). I tried to make duck friends, but they had other plans. Anyways, I hope y'all have a great weekend!!

Elephant Top

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!!! I'm so excited for this weekend to come because my boyfriend and his family are FINALLY returning home from two long weeks in Scotland! Yay!!!! Another yay is this shirt! I love elephants. I own many many things with elephants printed on them (pillows, dresses, shirts, etc.), and I would love to ride an elephant one day if I can! Anyways, crown & ivy at Belk have some of the cutest clothes. I love their tops and dresses because they're classic and fun and have the best prints!

I hope y'all are geared up and excited for back to school! I'm looking forward to decorating my dorm room and seeing people I haven't seen in a while! Thanks for stopping by!

Cool Denim

denim shirt (similar) // t-shirt // jeans // booties // watch

Hey y'all! This weekend got me so so so excited about fall weather! I was in the mountains, and it was chilly in the morning and cool during the day, and it was so wonderful!! I opted for denim on denim whenever we headed over to Boone for the day. I felt like a really cool tomboy in this outfit, but it fit in with the weekend since my daddy taught me how to drive one of the tractors while we were building our barn! And we rode horses on Saturday, so I had a very country weekend, and I loved it!!

Also, I love glass bottled sodas!!!! I'd prefer that they were all like this, I think they make the drinks taste better ;)

Gingham and Neon

shirt // shorts // bag (similar) // sandals (on sale!!) // watch // pearl bangle // sunnies

Hey y'all! At my high school, we had to wear collared shirts, so I built up quite a collection over the years. I love pairing these shirts with shorts in the summer because I think it looks cool and collected. I've also been into mixing fun colors together, like this minty green shirt and bright orange shorts. This shirt is so lightweight that it can be worn during any season, and it's perfect for transitioning into fall and winter by layering with a vest or sweater.

I hope y'all are having a wonderful week so far! Halfway to the weekend :) :) :)

Fun Red Tank

tank top (similar here and here) // jeans // sandals // bag (similar) // watch // pearl bangle

Happy Tuesday, y'all! This top is so perfect to throw on and feel cute. The detail of the straps and the front are so feminine and beautiful! And these jeans are so so so comfortable. Comfy and cute is the best way to go if ya ask me. Even if it's just for running a few errands, I like being put together, so this is a typical outfit for me for day to day activities!

This fab location reminded me of the Scripture John 4:13-14, which says, "Jesus said to her, 'Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'" The water that the world offers us is not satisfying in and of itself. No matter how many times we drink a bottle of water, we will always be thirsty again. No matter how many times we seek the things of this world to satisfy ourselves, we will always come up short. But the righteousness of the Lord is satisfying. He grants us eternal life when we come to Him as our Savior. He loves us unconditionally, perfectly, and forever. Not all the clothes or friends in the world could give me what God has given me! He is all we need, we just have to come to Him! I hope y'all remember that throughout your days, not just when the world lets you down, but always!
