Ray of Sunshine

Spring has sprung folks! I've never had allergies before, but something hit me when the pollen started hanging around. Maybe it's just a cold, but I have been stuffy all week! Anyways, my lips have been super chapped since I can't breathe out of my nose very well, and I decided to show off my absolute favorite lip product. Baby Lips are hands down my favorite chapsticks. I don't go a day without one of them. You can find these at the drugstore, Target, and Ulta!

Speaking of lips (Jesus Juke alert), Psalm 119:171 says, "My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes." With lots of frustration, I've been learning some of the statutes of God recently. My own stubbornness and pride in schoolwork have no place in His presence. As final exams are just around the corner, I hope y'all remember that you aren't defined by a grade! Studying hard and not receiving a grade you'd hoped for is disappointing, but it's not everything. His will is always being done, and a bunch of times it's not what you expect.

Thanks for listening to my tangent and for stopping by!

Nautical Neon

shirt // shorts // flats // watch // bag (similar)  // nail polish (OPI strawberry margarita)

Hopped on to this neon trend over Easter weekend! It was a fabulous 81 degrees this day, so I had to break out my neon chinos for the first time this year. Daddy calls these my "traffic cone shorts," but I know he's just jealous. I have a confession: I own way too many striped tshirts. They're such an easy way to make an outfit more interesting with hardly any effort, so I'm all about those stripes.

Yesterday, I was so thrilled to attend Joy Prom at UNC. Joy Prom is a prom for people with disabilities, and it was such a blessing to spend the evening with them. If you ever get the opportunity to help or attend such an event, I totally recommend it. Here's the video some awesome guys put together during the night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUNA2C4ymU8. I'm so thankful to have met some great amazing people to love and spend time with last night.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." John 13:34

I hope y'all had wonderful Easter weekends and are having a great week so far! Thanks for stopping by, y'all!

Red Pants

I make weird faces when people walk by to try to seem normal.

shirt // pants // flats // watch // sunnies

One time in middle school, I wore an outfit to softball practice that was red from my hat to my cleats in hopes of being nicknamed "hot tamale." These pants remind me of that day.

Between the lack of sleep and 456738592 papers I've written these past couple weeks, I am EXHAUSTED. Buttttt I am also very thankful. I go to an awesome university and am blessed to be busied with papers and other assignments, and I take that for granted often! I have some fab friends here (shout out to Christy for taking these pics) and love being just a walk away from any of them during the week! Also, I am in love with spring!!! This warm weather has put everyone in a better mood, and not having to layer on jackets has me super hype.

I love the combo of a simple oxford with colored pants. It's super laid back, yet put together. Also, this yellow polka dotted tumbler is so perfect for spring and summer (and it was only $3 in the dollar section at Target!).

One last thought: my best friend Becca shared these verses the other day, so I thought I'd share them with y'all too!
"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cries.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
He delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalm 34:15-18
